William G. Bennett
Nov. 16, 1924 - Dec. 22, 2002

In Memory of William G. Bennett

Between 1974 and 2002 the legendary Tournament of Champions (TOC) in Las Vegas took place 18 times. The founder and sponsor of this famous competition, Mr. William G. Bennett, invited the 20 or 21 worldbest pilots each time. The development of aerobatics was supported, and clever formulated rules gave very interesting and new impulses. The TOC became - apart from the FAI World Championships - one of the most meaningful aerobatic competition worldwide.

Wolfgang had the unique chance to participate at the TOC from the beginning to today as a pilot or helper. Wolfgang competed 14 times and reached 11 times the finals. Roland participated 4 times - 1997 was the first time - and reached the finals every time.

We would like to thank William G. Bennett as a promotor of aeromodelling and for bringing the TOC into being. William G. Bennett died Sunday, 22nd December 2002. He was 78. We will miss him.
